The Volunteer Program supports the services provided by Early Childhood Alliance. Volunteers are an integral part of the organization and make significant contributions to acheiving our mission. Orientation and training are provided for all volunteers.
Our greatest needs are for:
-
Office assistant to organize, sort, file or collate meterials, tabulate surveys, answer phones, and greet visitors; to trace, cut, paste or make simple materials for art projects.
-
Messenger to deliver mail between the Children's Centers and the Administrative Office, pick up and deliver materials and equipment, make arrangements with donors to pick up donated items, make purchases for ECA at discount stores and grocery stores and deliver items.
-
Handy Person to use carpentry, assembly, electrical and/or plumbing skills to make minor repairs at office building and child care center. Assemble AV equipment or bookshelves, change light bulbs, hang pictures, fix leaky faucets, repair office furniture, etc. Repair children's toys, such as bikes. Pick the tasks that match your skills. Set your own hours. Varied duties in a friendly environment that benefits children.
Volunteers add significant value to our services for young children, their parents and child care providers. We match volunteers' interests with our needs and use the time and talents of volunteers to support the development of young children.
