In honor of CEO Madeleine Baker and her passion for early education and children in our community, Early Childhood Alliance (ECA) has announced The Madeleine Baker Tuition Scholarship Fund.
ECA has been committed to providing affordable early education opportunities through its tuition sliding fee scale. The Madeleine Baker Tuition Scholarship fund will allow ECA to provide financial assistance to low-income families. This assistance is vital in allowing all children the opportunity to receive a high-quality early education, and for families to attend work and/or school each day. With an annual goal of $50,000, the fund will provide a $5,000 tuition scholarship for ten children per year, decreasing the cost of tuition by $100 each week. For preschool children, this is equivalent to a 50% tuition discount.
“Investing in young children today gives immeasurable benefit returns for tomorrow,” shared Madeleine Baker. This investment in children must be an economic priority. The Madeleine Baker Scholarship Fund is designed and intended to ensure that children who arrive at the doors of ECA will have high-quality early education experiences, regardless of their parent’s ability to pay.”
Madeleine, who will begin her new adventure in retirement starting June 30, 2022, is grateful to all supporters of ECA and the field of early education. Thanks to the many generous donors who ECA during Give Greater Allen County in April, the fund’s balance is currently at $9,727. For anyone interested in helping ECA reach its 2022 goal, donations can be made at https://eca4kids.org/scholarship or mailed to ECA at 3800 N Anthony Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN, 46805.
