Child abuse and neglect is a disturbing social problem that exists in our society and yet these incidences have been increasing at an alarming rate. The lasting effects of child abuse and neglect impact children’s ability to learn and their emotional state. Furthermore, the effects of child abuse and neglect are not limited to the child who has been abused but extends to the child’s family. The role of early childhood educators is to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment for all children in their care thus, each plays a significant role in preventing and responding to allegations of child abuse & neglect. Join this important webinar offering to learn about your significant role as a mandated reporter and gain a deeper understanding on this sensitive issue. Learn effective strategies for working with abused children and supporting their families. Objectives: 1.
