Child With Stethoscope and toy bear

Did you know an infant’s brain doubles in size in the first year? …that it keeps growing to about 80 percent of adult size by age three and 90 percent — nearly full grown — by age five? The early years of a child’s life are critical for future health and development, and this start in life begins prenatally.

ECA works to connect with expectant parents during the prenatal period to share this important information as a resource to families to help them in their role as their child’s first and most important teacher. We currently distribute books, early childhood information, and resources to expectant parents through Parkview Health Network.
