The team behind Parkview Health’s custom-built playhouse announced its theme and handed approved designs over to the builders at Weigand Construction last week.
“Flight of Fancy” was inspired by the Parkview Health Samaritan helicopter. Young pilots can imagine they are taking to the skies from their own backyard. Design Collaborative is the firm behind this creative playhouse.
Weigand Construction will be constructing the playhouse in advance of Early Childhood Alliance’s May 17 fundraising event, Play it Forward to Spark a Future.
Three custom-built playhouses will be featured auction items at the May 17 event.
The finished playhouses will be unveiled at a Tincaps game at Parkview Field on May 13, and on display for the public May 13-17.
The Early Childhood Alliance fundraising event, Play It Forward to Spark a Future, is Wednesday, May 17 at 6:00 pm in Parkview Field’s Lincoln Financial Event Center. Tickets are $150 each, and go on sale March 27. Bids for the playhouses will be taken both at the event and remotely.
Proceeds from the annual event supports early education for young children. Since 2007, ECA has raised nearly $310,000 through the annual special event.
