Be Active Challenge

Be Active

You’re invited to Be Active! Early Childhood Alliance is introducing the Be Active Challenge, a provider participation initiative to support increased physical activity in the programs ECA serves*. The Be Active Challenge offers a series of four quarterly “challenges” to encourage providers to increase physical activity experiences with children in their care. Each challenge allows for all program types, and children of all ages and abilities. The winner of each challenge will receive $150 to use in their program, thanks to a grant provided by the Indiana State Department of Health Physical Activity Grant.

Want to be a part of the fun?

For each challenge there is a limit of one submission per center classroom, ministry classroom, or family child care provider. Multiple submissions from the same program will be accepted only if the experience involves a different group of children with a different teacher/teaching team.

Find information on this quarter’s challenge here. Show us how you and the children in your care are participating in that challenge by submitting the entry form with a photo by April 20th, 2018.

To select challenge finalists, submissions will be evaluated by our Be Active Committee. Finalists’ photos with descriptions will be posted to the Early Childhood Alliance Facebook page** for voting. The photo that receives the most “likes” on ECA’s Facebook page will win the $150 prize!

**You must obtain signed permission from the parent/guardian of all children shown in photo, as well as the staff members in order to enter challenge(s). If you do not have a photo release form to use, you may find one under the Resources tab.
